Home From War

Before It's Too Late
Grandpa and Louie, his grandson, go to movies and share a joy of fly fishing, highlighted each year with a trip to Big Bear Lake to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. Louie's parents, and even Louie, begin to notice Grandpa's driving skills are deteriorating. How do they tell him, a decorated WWII fighter pilot, that now he may not even be able to drive a car? Tension builds within the family as they grapple with this difficult issue. Grandpa must face this with the same strength and intelligence he has handled problems throughout his life; but this is not easy. A once in a lifetime decision to give up the car keys, we will all have to make, before it’s too late.
This is a love song between his car and its aging driver who must now give up his car keys.
